We had a great early weekend so to speak. Wednesday we headed to Eudora, Ks. We visited an old college friend of mine and her family. We don't see each other very often so it was nice to catch up. The kids had a blast. Their basement is a boy's dream. A big screen with a Wii, a ping pong table, a pool table, and a air hockey table. Then Liz's found all kinds of really cool toys as well. It was very fun.
After being there we headed into KC because our niece Jordynn was playing in a basketball tournament. It was so great. We got to see most of the family there. It was such a good time. It was wonderful to have a close tournament and a free weekend so to speak for us. We really don't get to see them often enough. The boys of course love seeing Trey. Liz just loves all of them. Jordynn is an amazing b-ball player so that was great to get to watch her.

Basketball Camp
We had basketball camp last week. I am a little late in posting. The boys had a great time and they learned some great skills. Josh was complimented by his coach, who was a strong leader, that he was very coachable, most improved on his shot, a hard worker and very polite. It was great to hear and even more wonderful to share those words with Joshua. It was amazing to see how much Jerod is improving and how big he is getting. Andrew worked hard and lost the the block shooting contest twice by just one point. Very fun stuff. Plus we had the blessing of watching the coaches pray with the boys. Of course Liz loved just hanging out in the gym.

Curls Galore
Saturday night I decided to do some twists in Liz's hair and see what happens. It was so cute and curly and it lasted all day. Lots of people at church told her how pretty she was and it was not even very hard.

We had our neighbors over last night for dinner and fireworks. It was a blast. Lots of yummy food. Our neighbor made an Earthquake Cake. It was so good. Then the kids and Rod shot off lots of fireworks. It was a really good time.

Here are the fun pancakes we had for breakfast. Hope you all have a wonderful day.
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! GOD BLESS!

Special Thank You
Yesterday, my wonderful friend Valerie and her beautiful 6 kids came out and helped us get ready for the reunion. In addition, to helping us clean and straighten they brought us a basket full of goodies. Of course they made the new yummy cake ball which disappeared from the table. They also baked cookies and muffins.
God is so good to bless us with wonderful friends. The kids enjoyed being able to work together with their friends, as well as, getting a little pool time before they headed home. Thanks for the help we love you all.
I took some pics but they some how did not get transfered and of course I deleted them off the camera and now they are gone.

Reunion
Today we had our family reunion for my side of the family and we got to host. It was a great time. We had 36 people here and it was great. My Uncle Ed and Cousins Kay and Kim surprised us with a visit so that was really great. It was great to catch up with everyone. We got to meet Trevor who is 6 for the first time. My 2nd cousin and her husband are adopting him. We also met Sophie who is my other 2nd cousin's 7 month old daughter.
We caught up with everyone. It is always such a blessing to me to see everyone.
The kids had a blast playing with their cousins. They swam, played chase and swords, jumped on the trampoline, swung and then threw in a few video games. Jerod had a big playmate too and they covered the round of sports.
Happy Reunion Day.
