Sunny Days Taking Us to the Zoo

It was an incredible day. Rod and Jerod are out of town helping Rod's dad so the kiddos and I headed to the zoo. Here are some of the fun critters we got to see.

Tournament

We have a basketball tournament for Jerod this weekend. We won our first game pretty easy and then lost our second today at 1:00. We played a good second half but took too long to get going. We play again at 8:00 tonight and then one more game tomorrow. What stinks is the best we can do at this point is 5th place. Oh well. Hopefully, he is learning alot. The other good thing is that most of the kids will be back for one more year of Jr. High Ball.

Resting

We had our appraisal this morning. Don't know how it went but I do know that we have accomplished alot on the house and it is such a blessing.

You have seen pictures of Liz's room and our bathroom. But I didn't do before and afters for those. We did some work in the "playroom" and I got some before and afters to help you see the improvements.



I have searched for a purple valance but didn't find one. However, I discovered these pink ones at Target. Unfortunately I don't have a super money saving story to go along with them.

Update

We have almost finished Liz's room. It turned out really cute. We have also painted both bathrooms and cleaned up the yard. Took down a tree and fixed one of the walls Jerod broke. Cleaned up the "storage room" and created a craft room for me. Cool huh. Here are a few pictures.





The next two pictures I made using my cricut and vinyl. It is so cool. They are in the master bathroom.

Finally

Many of you have been telling me to give my princess a room that is fitting for her funny princess personality. It has begun. The room is purple with pink trim. I am also doing some stenciling which is a huge stretch for me; but fun. We have also been busy moving dirt with a friend's tractor. Well when it is 70 degrees in February you better be outside taking advantage of it.

Update

Here is a little update. Back to working out means sore muscles for me. So Shelley and Valerie don't be too jealous of all the fun I am having.

We have had a few games lately. Here is a cool photo of Jerod making a left handed lay up.
